Credit Report investigation

Your credit score and the information in your credit report can have a HUGE impact on your life.

The house you can buy, your job, your car, your interest rates: all of it is affected by your credit report.

Obviously, it is extremely important that the information in your credit report is accurate and complete. The overwhelming majority of Americans don’t check their credit report every year. And almost nobody knows what to do if they find something wrong in their report. This is a sad reality, because 25% of Americans find an error in their credit report when they look.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) gives you the right to dispute any errors in your credit report.

The report could be wrong for many reasons. The creditor could have provided the wrong data. The credit reporting agency (like Equifax, Trans Union, or Experian) might have mistaken your identity with someone else. And identity theft can be a common and scary problem.

You don’t want to delay in disputing these errors. This is especially true if you are planning any big life changes, like purchasing a house or an automobile.

I help people clean up their bad credit reports. If you have tried repeatedly to correct an error on your report, and they haven’t fixed the problem, then you need my help. If you have no idea how to get your credit score and information please see Helpful Links on the Client Resources page
